The food arrived in thirty minutes. They relocated to the hide-a-bed couch in the office and set the bags of food on the coffee table. With the exception of the soup and the finger food, they ate with chop sticks right out of the carton. Charli dipped her chopsticks into the chicken fried rice and pulled forth a mouthful, but just before she reached her open mouth the rice fell into her lap. They both laughed and hugged each other. "Here let me show you." He adjusted her hands on the chopsticks and said, "There, try it now."

She did with a piece of lemon chicken and got it to her mouth. However when she picked up a piece of broccoli, it too fell in her lap. They laughed again and Mitch explained, "Watch what I do." He grabbed a big clump of fried rice and said, "Open wide." She did and he effortlessly deposited it on her tongue.

After swallowing the morsels, she asked, "How did you get so good with those? It's like you're half Chinese?"

He laughed. "Not quite, but I was a beneficiary of the next best thing. My roommate in college was Japanese. If you don't mind I'll feed us both."

"I'd like that." She giggled. "And when you are done could you peel some grapes and feed them to me?"

"Sorry, I'm all out of grapes."

And so it went. Mitch would give Charli a mouthful and then himself.

After ten minutes or so, she waved her hands and said, "Enough. I'm full."

Mitch set down the chopsticks, closed the cartons, leaned back and wrapped an arm around her shoulder. She rested her head against his chest. Full and contented, she wished they could slip into his bedroom for a little R & R. "Mmmm, I wish we were finished."

Mitch snuggled his lips into her hair and kissed the top of her head. "Me too, shall we slip into the bedroom for a little sample?"

She breathed deep and sighed, His cologne with its manly balm fired along her senses, forcing her pulse to speed up and flutter. Her eyes lifted upward, but she couldn't see him. "Would you settle for a kiss?"
